The questions we actually get asked on the first call, answered properly.
What is your minimum order quantity?
One 20GP container for float, tempered and building glass. For mirrors and LED mirrors the minimum is usually 100–200 pieces per size, and for printed or art glass around 10–20 m². Mixed containers are normal — you can combine five products in one 20GP to test the quality before committing.
What is the lead time?
Stock items 7–10 days. Cut-to-size tempered glass 15–20 days. LED mirrors and custom printed or lacquered glass 25–30 days. Add 3–5 days if heat-soak or third-party inspection is required. Ocean transit to Ho Chi Minh City is around 7–10 days from Tianjin or Qingdao.
Can you make glass to my drawing?
Yes — that is most of what we do. Send a dimensioned drawing (PDF, DWG or a clear photo with measurements) and we will confirm feasibility, flag anything that will not survive tempering, and quote. We check hole spacing and edge distance against the thickness before cutting, because those are the two things that cause breakage after tempering.
How do you prevent breakage during shipping?
Glass is packed standing, never flat-stacked, in plywood crates with pearl wool between sheets and EPE foam on the edges. Desiccant is added for humid routes. Every crate is photographed closed. If breakage still happens before loading, we replace at our cost; the claim process is described on the Quality page.
Do you supply samples?
Yes. A4-size samples of standard float, patterned, etched and coated glass are free; you pay the courier. Custom colours and printed samples are charged at cost and credited against your first order. Sample lead time is 3–5 days.
What payment terms do you accept?
30% deposit with the order, 70% against the bill of lading copy. T/T and L/C at sight for orders above USD 30,000. For repeat customers we can discuss 30/70 against telex release.
Can you print our logo or brand on the glass?
Yes, by UV digital print up to 1440 dpi, or by ceramic frit if the glass will be tempered afterwards. Send vector artwork (AI, EPS, PDF) and tell us the required colour reference. Minimum 20 m² per design.
Do you ship to Vietnam regularly?
Yes, Vietnam is our largest export destination. We ship to Ho Chi Minh City (Cat Lai), Hai Phong and Da Nang, usually on 20GP and 40HQ. Vietnamese-speaking sales support and Vietnamese documentation are available. C/O Form E is provided for ACFTA duty preference.
Why is your price different from another Shahe supplier?
Usually one of four things: glass thickness actually supplied (4.7 mm sold as 5 mm is common), whether packing is included, whether the price covers edge polishing and drilling, and whether the mirror is silvered or aluminum. Ask for the thickness tolerance and the packing spec in writing — that is where the difference hides.
